We had an awesome day. I had not been getting out as much as I’d like to. So we went to Elk Meadow. We took another trail, no Trillium Falls this time: it’s about four miles long and personally I just didn’t feel like it this weekend. Just didn’t have the energy I had last time. But I still needed to get out and get SOME exercise.
So we hung out at Lost Man’s Creek, around the bridge area. It was a gorgeous day. Lots of human type creatures there though, including those going to Gold Bluffs Beach. I GUESS I can share Elk Meadow with others.
No sign of the Roosevelt elk, except for their droppings. (Photos below. No, not of the droppings.)
After that we had company so we wanted to just hang out at the house and chill. I am just now recovering.
I’m being forced to post the photos here instead of the gallery page. It appears that the gallery I use here (Nextgen) doesn’t work with the new version of wordpress. Alex Rabe’s code fix did not work for me. Nor did this: http://nextgen-gallery.googlecode.com/files/nextgen-gallery_2009_07_11.zip
This just happened. So I have to wait, till someone comes up with something that’ll work for me (and for all the others for whom the above did not work).
I’ve also locked down certain posts. All the news articles about cops taking out revenge on bloggers that are critical of them… plus the fact that I’ve pissed off some cops, have made me skittish about posting certain things.
For those of you who have the password to the locked posts, this won’t be a problem. If you don’t have it, just ask—If I know WHO you are I’ll probably give it to you.
